Olio e Piu West Village restaurant for pizza

Pizza at Olio e Più

One of the best things about being an entrepreneur in New York City is that there are so many new and exciting places to hold business meetings.  The amount of cool restaurants, coffee shops and even museums that are business meeting-friendly is astounding!

I walk by hundreds of places every week that I make a mental note to try, but never get around to trying even a fraction of them. I recently scheduled a Beautini strategy meeting with my cousin, Maggie while she was in town for work, and our friend Abby, and used this opportunity to test out one of the places on my list,  Olio e Piú in the West Village.

Olio e Piú proved to be an excellent place to conduct our meeting.  The atmosphere was fantastic, with beautiful plants in front which provided the perfect backdrop for some Instagram pictures.

Because we were there on a Sunday evening, there were a few other tables but the place wasn’t packed, so the volume was reasonable and we were able to discuss what we needed to at a normal speaking volume.  Tip: If you’d like to have a productive business meeting, stay away from cocktail bars or restaurants after 6 pm.  These places will normally be jam-packed with people socializing and you won’t be able to hear anything or get any work done.

The food was great and moderately priced. I was especially excited to sample their prosciutto pizza… so yummy!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and even offered up some free dessert pizza for a positive Yelp review.  Um, yes please!
