What inspired you to join the company you are at or to start your own venture? What made you take the leap/how did you get to where you are today?
Growing up I always had a passion for beauty and fashion so when I was told of an internship opportunity at L’Oreal I had to go for it. I ended up landing the internship, which was seriously a dream come true. I worked my butt off and at the end of my yearlong internship I was offered a full time position. I’ve now been at L’Oreal for 4 years and couldn’t imagine starting my career anywhere else.

When did you know that this job/career was for you or realized a past job wasn’t working for you?
L’Oreal is a company that truly pushes you and empowers you. Every day I come to work I am inspired. I believe what you put into life you get out of it and I feel the same goes for L’Oreal.

Unofficial Work Motto:
“She believed she could, so she did.”

Word of advice for anyone looking to pursue a similar career:
Never give up and be confident. There are going to be challenges along the way but as long as you overcome them and learn from them you’ll come out smarter and stronger than before. Allowing yourself to fail is a huge part of growing. Another big one is building solid work relationships and networking. 9 out of 10 people you work with you will cross paths with sooner or later down the line – having those relationships already in place makes all the difference.

Something practical every on-the-rise exec should own:
A comfortable pair of cute pumps. I love shoes and can admit not all of them are comfortable. Having a pair of cute pumps you can wear all day long at the office without feeling like your feet are about to fall off is worth every penny. Comfort is key especially when you can be in back-to-back meetings and on your feet all day.

Style in Three Words:
Versatile, Fun, Trendy

Beauty Products you can’t live without:
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (game-changer), Batiste Dry Shampoo (life-saver) & Garnier Micellar Water – the best part of my job is that I get to test and try new makeup all the time, but removing it at the end of a long day can be daunting. Garnier Micellar Water has changed my life for the better; it removes my makeup so seamlessly and leaves no oily residue, I HIGHLY recommend.

Power-Boosting Beauty Hack:
Use hairspray to get out ink stains on clothes.

What makes you feel like a total girl boss in the morning? (Ex: applying a fresh coat of nail polish, taking a cycle class, drinking a green smoothie, praying, etc.):
Every morning I make a fresh cup of coffee with a teaspoon of coconut oil and listen to music while I do my makeup at my vanity – it’s my little morning prep to start the day.

Best Style/Beauty Decision I Ever Made:
Beauty – Investing in a good blow dryer. I have the Harry Josh Pro dryer and couldn’t imagine life without it now. It blow dries my hair in half the time and is super lightweight which is a plus.
Style – Online shopping has changed the game completely for me. I am a Revolve addict and order something from their site probably once every other week.

Who are a few women that inspire you and why?
*My mom – she is the one person I look up to in every aspect of life. I wouldn’t be the strong person I am today without her as my role model. She amazes me every day and I hope one day I am half the woman she is.

*And my previous boss, Ludy. I have a lot to thank her for especially with where I am today with my career. She hustles every day and is so unbelievably good at her job. She’s a leader, teacher but most importantly she’s very human. She understands the importance of life outside of work and balances it so well, which I admire greatly.

What motivates you the most?
Seeing content I’ve created posted on Maybelline’s social and digital channels worldwide is the absolute coolest feeling. Knowing that there is so much more for me to learn and experience is enough motivation in and of itself every day for me.

Your #girlboss secrets to leading a efficient yet stylish lifestyle:
Make sure to get enough sleep – it seems like something so obvious but it really makes all the difference. Also pampering yourself, whether it’s getting a mani/pedi or a fresh blowout it goes a long way!

Challenges as a successful lady boss:
Keeping a healthy work/life balance. I am very career-driven right now and put my work before a lot so finding a sweet spot between the two is really important.

The best piece of advice you have ever received:
Be a problem solver and offer solutions. Instead of going to your manager with a problem or something that isn’t working come prepared with ways to fix the situation.

Favorite activities to do or places to eat in your city:
My best friend and I have a NYC checklist that includes places to eat, shows to see, exercise classes to try, needless to say the list is always growing! Buttttttt I’m not sure there is anything better than roof top season in the city – Pod 39 would have to be my favorite – their margaritas and guac are amaze!
