Lady Leader is a series that I created to highlight powerful, girlboss women who are achieving or working to achieve their dreams. In today’s episode, I interviewed Melanie Moss from Mini Melanie, a bakery in Brooklyn, NY. Melanie grew up baking with her grandmother. As a child, she spent her weekends cooking and thinking about food. This helped Melanie find her calling to the kitchen. While she was attending school at Northwestern University, Melanie traveled to Paris to work in her first professional kitchen at the Institute of Culinary Education and then continued at the Michelin starred kitchens of Babbo and Blue Hill at Stone Barns. There she was the Head Baker and Pastry Sous Chef. This is where cooking stopped being a hobby and started being an obsession. Melanie’s biggest passions include baking and the Mini Melanie team!
